Scuba Diving and Surfing

Term one has just finished here in Australia during term one Claire and I did a six week diving class. We have a great instructor Harvey who has scuba dived all over the world. We had night classes every Monday from 7pm to 9pm. We did pool dives every Sunday. We just finished classes and recently went on our first ocean dive! The first one we canceled because the current was to strong offshore. Therefore we went snorkeling instead. The current was so strong we had to hold onto the "Jesus Line" (a 5m rope off the end of the boat). It was 14 meters deep and we could see straight to the bottom! We saw corals, fish and sharks! The water was so clear and deep blue!

We went on our first real dive at the Moreton Island Wrecks. Massive sand dredgers that were sank just offshore in 1963. Over the years the fish and coral life have developed. It was amazing! We were in water ranging from 5 to 11 meters deep! We saw lots of big fish and we swam right under the hull of a huge wreck. We got two dives in and have to do three more until we get our CMAS dive certification card. I took videos and photos on the GoPro I'm making a YouTube video, I will tell you when its done!

Also Uncle Nicky is Down Under and we are having an awesome time! We have been up and down the coast of New South Wales and Queensland! We just got back from Noosa a beach/ resort town. We hiked, swam and I surfed and took photos of other people surfing! Enjoy the Photos:)

Me on a beautiful Noosa Wave!

I met Ted out in the water one morning and his Dad asked if I could get some photos of him and send them to him. I got this one and a few others!

We had a school play which was The Wizard of Oz. I was the Wizard and Aidan was a tree and Claire was a Munchkin. I had to learn 32 lines! It was a great thing to be apart of!

I spent every morning in Noosa either surfing or taking photos of others surfing! It was so much fun. This was one of the best shots I got!
