Trip North to Witsunday's

Hello everyone its been a very long time since my last post! I was waiting for our big trip to be over so I had some great photo's to show you. In 12 days we traveled over 2500km! We left from Brisbane and 4hrs later reached Hervey Bay where we spent a night! Then on to Yeppoon which was a 7hr drive from HB. Lastly we drove 8hrs the next day to Arlie Beach! A cool backpacker town right in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef. We spent a night there before taking a ferry out to Hamilton Island the next day. The 55 minute ride over was a bit rough, a few of us had bags but everyone managed to hold it in! Hamilton Island is a small Island in the Heart of the Whitsunday's! It is surrounded by 73 other island which make up the Whitsunday Islands. Out of 73 only 4 are inhabited!!! Since it is small and only 30% of the island is developed only golf carts are allowed to be driven! All the rules of the road apply. You even need a license to drive! The island is amazing and Catseye Beach was stunning! We hiked, fished, snorkeled, sailed, swam and relaxed for 5 nights on Hamo! (the locals call it that) We were very sad to leave but we had a whole day on Whitehaven beach planned! It was a 40 minute ride on a ferry! We spent the whole morning the sand is like flour! Jump in the water then role around in the sand and your like sugar role!!! Then we drove back down the coast the day after! It was an amazing place and I will definitely be going back and I think my fellow travelers would say the same. Only pictures and being there can describe it! Enjoy! Until then keep it Classy...LNN1
